Inspired by the tradition, beauty, and strength in the art of woodworking, he carefully selected experts that share his passion, integrity, and artistry to join his team over the years.

Timothy Craig Lincoln was born in Long Beach, California, May 16, 1948, to Warren and Victoria (Hooton) Lincoln. From there, the family moved to Detroit, MI; Penfield, NY, and Indianapolis, IN, where Tim finished high school. He excelled in music as a classical pianist, and in visual art in drawing, sculpture, and photography. Tim attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. In 1968, he spent one semester as an exchange student at Clark College in Atlanta, the first historic black college in the southern United States.

Tim moved to Colorado in 1969. Initially to Glenwood Springs, then Breckenridge, and finally Alma, where, somewhere near timberline, he met the love of his life, Mary Kathleen Shea, and daughter, Anna. Tim and Mary were married in 1976. After the birth of their first son, Guy, they moved to Palisade following their dear friends John Lindstrom and Charlene Weidner. In Palisade sons, Curtis, Samuel, and Matthew were born, treasured, and raised. Tim's life revolved around his kids, wife, business, and Mary's bird watching hobby. Mary was his favorite bird.

Tim was an accomplished professional woodworker. He had a natural ease with the rhythm and intelligence of work, and an innate ability for using ideas and materials to produce products of durable beauty. These talents, and his sincere and steady drive, allowed him to progress from carpentry to trim work, to cabinetry, ultimately producing entire interiors of fine woodworking. He brought his son, Curtis, into the business, Lincoln Woodworks in 2000, which is still flourishing today. Tim was a good and faithful employer, developing and mentoring many people over his career.

With the opening of Mary's Slice O' Life Bakery in 1980, Tim provided all the behind-the-scenes equipment, maintenance, moral support and cheerleading. He also found time to spearhead the bakery's holiday fruitcake operation.

Tim will forever be remembered for his love of family, his support of all their athletic endeavors, and his generous compassionate spirit. He was a true prince among men.
